Re: Ukraine - U.S. puppet state
Many many countries are only puppet states of the US, including Germany, but Ukraine certainly is the most dangerous for Russia by sheer proximity, and thus most interesting for the US. I'm quite curious how the crisis over there will continue to develop. It doesn't look so good for Russia and Putin in my eyes. I really wonder why he didn't stomp his foot down with a much more massive and targeted intervention, focusing all directly on Kiev. Now the retreat does not look good and may cost Putin his power internally, and lead to Russia's fall within 1-2 decades I fear. (Fear because a US without the Russian balance is likely to actually start nuking all around the world where they like, as they actually had planned for instance in Vietnamn and several times since.)
